Our Story

In the grand tapestry of life, there are those unforgettable moments that leave you with abittersweet taste—and ours began between 2019 and 2021 with the heartbreaking loss of our fathers, both steadfast kings of grease monkey dreams. In a not-so-secret homage (who does subtlety anyway?), we rolled up our sleeves and decided to channel our grief into something that would bring joy to fellow car enthusiasts. Enter Whiskey River Craftworks: where we turn nostalgia and creativity into handcrafted masterpieces—without making you break a sweat.
 Fast forward to 2022, when we decided our woodshop was in dire need of a little makeover. Let's just say that creative juices don’t flow well in chaos, so we reconfigured our shop space like it was
a game of Tetris—refined and ready to make magic happen. And then came 2023, when we unearthed our vintage camper (1963 TravelEZE) from its clandestine hideaway in the tree line. Voilà, a traveling boutique was born; what better way to sell our crafts than from a retro ride that screams “road trip chic”?
So here we are, embarking on this whimsical adventure, and we kindly ask for your support. After all, who doesn’t want to help two slightly snarky artisans keep the spirit of their dads alive while giving car enthusiasts a treasure trove of one of a kind goodness? Boring Details-FAQ

Do you laser engrave?

Nope. We use a CNC mill for carving for shape, but all glue-ups, sanding, painting, finishing, and design are done by humans. No lasers, no robots, just elbow grease.

How long will my order take?

Usually 6-8 weeks for carving and finishing, and 3-5 days in shipping transit. Yes, we know that sounds long. Yes, it’s worth it. No, we can’t magically teleport it to your door. We
work first in first out. Fragrance Items usually ship in 2-3 days.



Do you ship for free?

Yep—orders over $50 get free shipping. Under $50? Sorry, small potatoes still pay for postage.



Can I customize my order?

Yep. Designs, sizes, wood type, or paint color? Just ask. If it doesn’t involve a unicorn or time travel, we’ll make it happen. Actually, We can do Unicorns too!

Can I cancel or change my order?

Custom orders have a 24-hour grace period. After that… maybe. If we haven’t started carving, painting, and finishing yet, we can try. Once we start, it’s basically
immortal.



Do you sell wholesale or bulk orders?

Yes. We offer wholesale and bulk orders. While we won’t usually carve a thousand
tiny “World’s Okayest Employee” signs, large enough orders are absolutely
welcome. Email us and we’ll discuss the details.







Do you have a physical store?

Kind of. We vend almost every weekend in the summer from our 1963 TravelEz
Camper-turned-boutique. In winter, we haul it inside for shows. Dust, sawdust,
and paint smell included.











Can I return or exchange my order?

No. But if there’s an issue, reach out—we’ll help however our tiny little business
can.















Will my sign look exactly like the photos?

Close, Wood is a diva—it moves, has knots, and does dumb stuff. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, signed, dated, and stamped. Colors and size may vary slightly.



















What sizes do your products come in?

Usually listed on the product. Want something different? Ask—we can quote pretty much any size.























What kind of wood do you use?

Locally sourced hardwood. Species vary, and each one is unique. See #9 for wood diva behavior. Want something specific? Just ask.


























How do I hang or display my sign?

They come with attached hangers. Garage, man-cave, cabin, or above your desk—you’re in charge. There are some exceptions for our outdoor signs.






























How do I care for my sign?

Gentle. Not too much water. No magic spells. Basically, don’t leave it out in the rain unless we made it to do so.


































Can paint colors vary?

Yep. Hand-painted, so slight variation is part of the charm. See #15 if you need
color matching.






































Can I request a specific wood species or paint match?

Yes. Email us. If it’s possible in the real world, we’ll make it happen.
