In the grand tapestry of life, there are those unforgettable moments that leave you with a bittersweet taste—and ours began between 2019 and 2021 with the heartbreaking loss of our fathers, both steadfast kings of grease monkey dreams. In a not-so-secret homage (who does subtlety anyway?), we rolled up our sleeves and decided to channel our grief into something that would bring joy to fellow car enthusiasts. Enter Whiskey River Craftworks: where we turn nostalgia and creativity into handcrafted masterpieces—without making you break a sweat.

 Fast forward to 2022, when we decided our woodshop was in dire need of a little makeover. Let's just say that creative juices don’t flow well in chaos, so we reconfigured our shop space like it was a game of Tetris—refined and ready to make magic happen. And then came 2023, when we unearthed our vintage camper (1963 TravelEZE) from its clandestine hideaway in the tree line. Voilà, a traveling boutique was born; what better way to sell our crafts than from a retro ride that screams “road trip chic”?

So here we are, embarking on this whimsical adventure, and we kindly ask for your support. Shipping & Logistics — The Boring Stuff That Actually Matters

We know you’re here for the story, but you’re probably also here to figure out what we actually make. Whiskey River Craftworks creates CNC-carved hardwood garage signs, custom plaques, 3D CNC wood carvings, relief-carved portraits, shadow-line carved portrait art, pet memorials, mantel urns, hand-finished wood décor, soy-blend candles, wax melts, room sprays, and car diffusers.

Our portrait work can be carved with dimensional relief or with shadowed linework that comes together as you step back — kind of like old newspaper printing, but with more sawdust and fewer subscription fees. From custom garage signs and memorial pieces to one-of-a-kind carved hardwood projects, if you can dream it up, we can probably figure out how to carve it, build it, or make the shop regret asking for details.

Our roots are planted in Hawley, Minnesota, but our reach goes wherever the road — or the delivery truck — takes us.

  • Built to Order: Most already-designed carved pieces take about 4–6 weeks before shipping. True custom work, major design changes, portraits, memorial pieces, and photo-based projects usually take 6–8 weeks before shipping.
  • Handcrafted, Not Mass-Produced: Every carved piece is made from real hardwood, CNC-carved, hand painted, hand finished, signed, dated, and stamped by Whiskey River Craftworks. No flimsy plastic nonsense. No big-box beige sadness.
  • Fragrance Goods Ship Faster: Candles, wax melts, room sprays, and car diffusers usually ship faster than carved wood because fragrance items are less dramatic than lumber.
