Modern Business, Vintage Miles: Introducing the "Brick Nose" Winnebago
The Hotel Math
Running a mobile boutique and hitting markets across North Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin is the dream, but the reality of hotel bills and restaurant tabs started to weigh on the bottom line. We realized that if we wanted to keep Whiskey River sustainable while covering our three-state circuit, we needed a home base that traveled with us. We went searching for an RV, but we knew a modern white fiberglass box just wouldn't fit our brand.
In true Whiskey River tradition, we went looking for something with character—and we found a legend.
A Sign from Above: The 1981 "Brick Nose"
We are officially adding a 1981 Winnebago Brick Nose to the fleet. At 23 feet long, this Class A "Brick" is the ultimate vintage powerhouse. But the real kicker? When we pulled up to look at it, we realized it was already sporting our "Whiskey River colors." It felt like a sign from the heavens that this was the rig meant to lead us across the Midwest.

The Reality of the Road
Choosing a 45-year-old rig comes with its own set of "adventures." The Winnebago decided to test our resolve early on with a hydroboost system that had to be entirely rebuilt right in our own driveway.
Then came the real test: a blown transmission while we were on our way to a show. It could have been a disaster, but thanks to an incredible rescue from my boss at my part-time job, we didn't just survive the breakdown—we actually made it to the show on time. It’s those moments of community and grit that define what we do.

Meet the Supervisor: Ninja Pig
Of course, no workshop or road trip is complete without the boss. Introducing Ninja Pig, our 4-year-old orange and white cat. Whether she’s supervising the fragrance pours or making sure the '75 MGB stays dust-free, Ninja Pig is the true "Supervisor" of Whiskey River. She’ll be hitching a ride in the Winnebago to make sure everything stays up to code on the road.

Completing the Fleet
The "Brick" now joins the rest of our growing Whiskey River collection. Between the 1956 Thunderbird, the 1975 MGB, and the Honda Shadow, we have a soft spot for machines with a story. These aren't just vehicles; they are mobile extensions of our workshop.

The Road Ahead
We’re turning this 80s icon into the ultimate road-trip command center. No more sterile hotel rooms—just open roads, the hum of a (now healthy) transmission, and a workspace that follows us across the Midwest. Keep an eye out for the "Brick" (and the Supervisor) at our next stop!
