Our standard candles are 6 oz soy blend candles, hand poured in small batches by Whiskey River Craftworks in Hawley, Minnesota.
We use a soy blend wax with fragrance oil, poured into tins and finished one batch at a time. Small batch means slight variations can happen, because handmade things occasionally have opinions.
For the first burn, let the wax melt all the way across the top before blowing it out. After that, burn in 2–4 hour sessions for the best life and scent throw.
Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before each burn. A trimmed wick helps the candle burn cleaner, steadier, and with less soot drama.
Some scents are bold and bossy. Others are softer and more subtle. Scent strength depends on the fragrance, room size, airflow, and your nose’s current level of cooperation.
Burn on a heat-safe surface, away from drafts, pets, kids, curtains, and anything else with a poor sense of self-preservation. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
